iPhone Won’t Remember Hidden SSID
The iPhone is a great piece of kit. But what if you need to connect to a hidden SSID network and everytime it locks the screen it forgets the network.
This is usually because the SSID was not hidden the first time it connected to it. Therefore it looks for a broadcasting SSID. This can be solved by resetting your wireless settings.
Clear Network Settings
Warning this will clear all your wireless settings and your EDGE/3G connection settings. Please make a note of them first
- Tap Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Reset
- Tap Reset Network Settings
- Now make sure your network is hidden before you connect to it for the first time.

Worked a treat, but Algha’s post should be sufficient – connect to the network, “forget” it, and then reconnect manually. Thank you though for this tip, it does work.
This may vary with firmware version
