Put your iPhone in to DFU mode without Home/Power Buttons

It is very easy to have a tempremental button on an iphone. Either the power button or the home will render it impossible to jailbreak. This guide will show you how to put the phone in to DFU mode without touching it.

  • Make a copy of your fresh ISPW file
  • Open the ISPW using 7zip and browse to the following folders
/firmware/all_Flash/all_flash.m68ap.production/
/firmware/all_Flash/all_flash.n82ap.production/
7zip ispw
  • Delete the following file from each folder (write down the filenames)
LLB.m ** ap.RELEASE.img3
LLB.m ** ap.RELEASE.img3
  • Rename the applelogo.xxx.img3 file to the deleted LLB.m ** ap.RELEASE.img3 file name
applelogo.xxx.img3

    Steps
Make a copy of a fresh IPSW file.
Open the IPSW as a zip folder and browse to /firmware/all_Flash/all_flash.xxxxx.production/
Extract LLB.*****.RELEASE.img3 and open it in a hex editor. You can use Hex Editor Neo (google it)
Change some random bit or bits, it doesn’t matter which or what you write.
Add the edited file back to the zip, rename zip to ipsw and restore it to your device using iTunes.
The restore will error out and your device will be in DFU Mode.

    - Open with 7zip
    - Delete LLB.*****.RELEASE.img3 file
    - Extract applelogo.xxx.img3 file to a folder in your computer
    - Rename extracted file to LLB.*****.RELEASE.img3
    - Copy the renombred file back into de ipsw
    - Restore using shift + restore

    Thanks!
