Restore Greyed out Options on a Blackberry Phone in Desktop Manager

Blackberry desktop manager can block you from restoring a single database to your blackberry such as your contacts. This is because the blackberry is syncing to blackberry services and takes precedence. This guide shows you how to temporarily turn of blackberry desktop sync and restore your settings.

They can resend your service books from the server. If you have wiped it, it will loose the connection to the server.

    awesome, thank you!
worked in 2011 on my brand new blackberry.
question — do i have to keep doing this in order to get it to keep backing up those greyed out items?

    • Ben says:

The items will be backed up to the server. It should also backup with desktop backup but check to be sure.

This is just to stop you overwriting data when connected to BES
