I did exactly what you instructed but nothing comes out, that is, the page “Let’s activate windows” does not come out. Please advise.
I bought this HP XT878 from an auction a few years ago and found the OS XP pro is not genuine. The computer got a warning window from MS. Recently I changed to a genuine product key from MS website, the MS warning (appeared on the lower right corner)is gone but the small star sign in the bottom tool bar still exists. I did your process once again but it still does not work. Please help.
What do you mean by the small star sign in the tool bar?
Sir,
Thanks for the reply. It is a small sign of star shape located in the bottom right corner indicating failure of OS authenticity test.
