Fix Windows 7 Install Error 0×0
This can be caused by faulty media, a bad burn or incorrect settings for your hard drive in the bios. Read on to fix these issues
Solution
AHCI
AHCI is a setting for your SATA Hard Drive, Look in the BIOS and check if this setting is correct
Also check DMA is enabled if you have an IDE drive
Media
This can be a problem with the installation media being corrupted or poor.
- Burn or get a new copy of the disk (Burn at a slow Speed 2x and use a quality media like (Verbatim)
- Or if you have a current Windows installation you can install from the hard drive or from a usb drive
If all else fails you can install Windows 7 directly from Windows Vista. Just copy your installation files to the hard drive i.e. c:\install and run setup.exe

hey got windows 7 error code 0×0. everyone is freaking out about this code. its simple really if you trying top run setup then your wrong, this is an operating system and its run like any other operating system. this is elementary school installation , go into setup from startup by hiting f2 or what every corresponding button is required to change your primary 1st boot device. BOOT FROM THE DISK.
True this is more about when the OS is already installed.
If you change SATA from ACHI to standard then Windows will not load.
thank you it works 4 me
Thanks alot, it did work. (It was a poorly written copy from college)
