How to Login Automatically to Windows 7

When using your PC as a Media Centre or something similar. You may get annoyed with logging in manually to your computer. Learn how to set your computer to automatically login without 2rd party tools.

Login Automatically

  • open the start menu and type Run

  • In the Run Box type control userpasswords2

  • Uncheck the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box

  • Click ok and you will be asked for the login details. You can leave the password blank if you don’t have on.

  • Now reboot and test your login

    I now can’t log on. The username is Administrator but it says the password is wrong although I left it blank.
    Help!

      You can still login to your usual account if you click cancel.
      You cannot autologin to an account with a blank password
