How to Disable Windows Search in Windows 7

The Windows 7 Search has been greatly improved and further intergrated into windows. This guide explains how to remove it.

Remove Windows Search

  • Open the Start Menu and click Control Panel
  • In the default view click Programs

  • Next click Turn Windows Features on and off

  • Untick Windows Search then click ok (You will need to reboot)
