How to Extract a RAR file

A RAR file is a file containing multiple files that have been compressed and sometimes split for easy transfer. This tutorial will show you how to extract the contents of a RAR file.

Extraction

• First you need to download 7zip a free software program for extracting RAR files among others. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

• Install 7zip using the default options, (you may need to reboot your computer)

• Right click on your RAR file and open the 7zip menu

• Select Extract to “filename\” (This will extract your files to a folder named the same as you file)
