How to Fix Error Code 8007005 When Using Windows Update
Error Code 8007005 is a problem relating to file permissions in Windows. This can be solved by downloading the Windows Update files manually and reinstalling. But try this solution first.
Register Files
- Open the start menu and click all programs
- Open Accessories and right click on command prompt choose Run as Administrator
- Run the following command
secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
- Reboot your computer and try again
