When you start Windows Live Messenger, you are unable to sign in the following message is displayed: “Signing in to Windows Live Messenger failed because the service is temporary unavailable.” Error Code: 800701f6 or 8100030e.
Instructions
- Click on the Start menu, select Run and type the following: regsvr32 softpub.dll (In Vista and Windows 7 type straight into the seach box
- A window popup that says: DllRegisterServer in softpub.dll succeeded
- Check that the system clock is set correctly.
- Reboot your computer
