How to Fix MSN Messenger Error Code 8000401a
When trying to login to MSN Messenger you may get the following error code: Error 8000401a. This is caused by a registry issue.
Instructions
- If you are not comfortable with editing the registry please try my MSN removal guide here
- If you are comforatable with editing the registry open the following key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\
- Backup Your Registry
Delete the following key (I suggest using the find)

i did the above step but it did not solve my problem the first time
i restarted the system and did it a gain
nothing changed
but by searching in the web i found another code which is listed under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID
i deleted it and it resolved my problem
i tried to find that code
coz i did not save it
but i could not
