When Trying to Update Windows Defender you may get an Error Code 0×80244019. This is usually caused by a virus blocking access to microsofts servers or a misconfigured proxy
Instructions
- Open Internet Explorer go to Tools and then Internet Options. Open the Connections tab and select LAN Settings. Untick Use a Proxy Server and Tick Automatically Detect Settings. Click OK untill you get back to IE.
