How to Fix Windows Messenger Error Code 8100030d

Windows Messenger Error Code 8100030d. This error indicates that part of your cache may be corrupted

Instructions

  • Close Messenger
  • Open the start menu and in the search box (or Run in XP) type in %userprofile%\contacts and click ok

  • A folder will open, if the folder is empty, click the Tools menu, then Options, then View tab, click Show hidden files or folders and click OK

  • Once you can see the contained folders right-click the one that corresponds to your Passport (login) and delete it
  • Next, click Start, then type
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts
  • Delete any folders in this folder
  • Load Messenger and start again

    I tried it didnt work. I tried everything to fix it but nothing works… I tried it with registry as well, didnt help too..
