How to Fix “Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network”
A common problem when using linksys routers or sometimes netgears is the error message “Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network”. This is caused by Windows looking for a certificate it doesn’t have. This can be fixed easily.
Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network
- Right click on you Wireless Icon and Select View Wireless Networks
- Select Advanced Settings
- Click on the Wireless Networks Tab
- Highlight the network you are connecting to and select Properties
- Change to the Authentication Tab and untick the Enable Authentication for this network tickbox
