How to Import PST file in Outlook 2010

PST files are the default way for Outlook to save your emails on a local computer. These can be backed up and restored incase of hardware failure or moving PC. This guide shows you how to import your PST.

Open the Outlook 2010 file menu

Select Import from another program or file

Next select PST and follow the wizard to import

I followed these steps to import a pst file, but after clicking on the finish button nothing happens. I am using Outlook 2010. Curiously when exporting the pst from another laptop also using Outlook 2010 there is no export function available. You have to click on Open, Import and then select the export function. Strange…. is this a gigantic shortcoming of Outlook 2010, or what?

it doesn’t help really
I have been answered that there are no files to be imported; the tool did not ask me to show where the files are…
