How to Remove desktop.ini in Windows 7
Do you have a file called desktop.ini in a lot or all of your folders. This is a supposed to be a hidden file (shown by the fact it is slightly transparent). Desktop.ini can be hidden again with the simple instructions below.
Hide Desktop.ini
- Open Windows Explorer or My Computer
- Click the organise tab then, folder and search options
- In “folder and search options”, click the View tab
- Now check the box Hide protected operating system files
- desktop.ini will no longer be shown in your folders

th hide is not to remove. whoever has turned hidden files visible knows how to use folder options, we want windows to stop creating annoying files!
It is a required file, this saves some settings about the view.

its gone and so are the $recycle.bin folder and system volume information and other stuff……THANX A JILLION!!!!!!
