How To Remove DNS.Trojanchanger
DNS.Trojanchanger, updates your DNS settings so websites like microsoft and popular antivirus websites will not load. Also Windows Update will not load. It can infect your Router and continue to infect all the PCs connected to your LAN. To remove this really annoying pest read on!
Are You Infected?
- Open the start menu and in the search box type CMD then open the related program
- A new window will open type IPCONFIG /ALL and press Enter
- Your information will now be displayed. You are looking for DNS entrys.
The following entrys under DNS are indication of infection
85.255.113.122
85.255.112.83
85.255.116.148
85.255.112.223
Removal
- Download Malware Bytes
- Install and Reboot, Run a full scan, If infected it will be removed
- If you were infected you will need to login to your router and check that the DNS is not manually selected and is set to Get DNS from ISP or similar (If you need a tutorial on this leave a comment!)
