How to Remove the Content Advisor Password in Internet Explorer and Windows XP

Have you forgotten your Content Advisor Password? Luckly the password is saved in the registry and can simply be deleted.

Instructions

  • Open the start menu, open Run and then type regedit
Regedit Run
  • Search for the following registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings
Content Advisor Regedit
  • Delete the Key entry
Content Advisor Regedit delete

    Whenever i try to delete the key it says error or if i try to delete the ratings

    I am trying to remove content advisor, but when I open ‘policies’, I only get the default and no ‘key’ . I cannot find ‘ratings’ in the left column?
