How to Remove the Content Advisor Password in Internet Explorer and Windows XP
Have you forgotten your Content Advisor Password? Luckly the password is saved in the registry and can simply be deleted.
Instructions
- Open the start menu, open Run and then type regedit
- Search for the following registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings
- Delete the Key entry

Whenever i try to delete the key it says error or if i try to delete the ratings
You will need administrator permissions to delete the password.
I am trying to remove content advisor, but when I open ‘policies’, I only get the default and no ‘key’ . I cannot find ‘ratings’ in the left column?
What version of windows are you on?
Can you confirm you are in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
